X Y Z handles not visible in object mode… ?
I presume there is a classic simple switch that I somehow turned off but my object handles are not visible, in move / rotate or scale. I can click directly on object, move it or rotate it but no GREEN / RED / BLUE lines appear to define direction. Also I can enter values in coordinates. This effects all objects, cameras / lights, in all projects and scenes. Obviously one of those issues that is so simple I cannot seem to find a reference in any books or tutorials.

or another way is to go to the filter menu and make sure the axis is checked on. -
I just found that in the viewport, under Options -> Configure my ‘Axes Scale’ was set to 1% and I couldn’t see them. Increase the scale for positive results.
