    Boris Continuum Complete 3 Rain.
Give that a try. It has rain deflecting capability.

All you have to do is:
In the Invigorator setup window, double click on the material you applied(the one with layer mapping) turn on the transparency and choose the layer map just as you did for the layer map material. Keep the transparency level at 0 though.

In the material setup window in Invigorator, you will need to apply layer map and transparency. Your mapping source needs to have alpha channel in order to see the other side of the continents.

As for the cloud layer, create another sphere on top of the land sphere and make it slightly larger than the land sphere (depending on how high you want the clouds to hover over your land. Again you will need an alpha channel on the animated clouds layer. BTW, be sure the spheres are centered so that the bigger of the two completely surrounds the smaller.

    Hope that helps.

Sorry, I must have skipped that part about threshold keyframing that you did.

Maybe you need to play with the force field size.

Only other thing I can think of is that you will need to animate the
threshold value in the gradient twirl down.

Hey, that’s a lesson from an expert, not an idea.

    Absolutely.
Something like a US flag should be easy to recreate in illustrator rather
than looking all over for one already made.

August 5, 2005 at 2:41 am in reply to: Importing 3D object into AE

You can import 3d objects using Zaxwerks Invigorator. AE alone cannot bring
    in 3d objects, however.

You can download some free 3d objects by going to 3d CAFE. You can then
control the objects’ movements by using controllers in AE as shown in
    John Dickinson’s Invigorator tutorials.

I have done some 3d animation using this method and it is the only way to go
without using an actual 3d program. I love it.

    Hope that answers.

Thank you very much, Serge. I will do as you suggest.
