I’m trying to delay a shatter effect using a vertical ramp, but it has no effect.

I *did* select the gradient layer
I *did* animate the threshold from 0 to 100.
I tried in both inverted and non-inverted.
I also read the manual and some tutorials…
I even tried to redo it from scratch using default values, same thing.

if anyone has ever experienced this and knows the catch, i’m glad to hear what i’m doing wrong!

    here are some screenshots…

Only other thing I can think of is that you will need to animate the
threshold value in the gradient twirl down.

Sorry, I must have skipped that part about threshold keyframing that you did.

Maybe you need to play with the force field size.

    thanx for the suggestions.

For the record, I finaly got it by precomposing the gradient and the shatter layer together. It doesn’t make sense, but maybe there was something fuzzy with my other layers… anyway, now I got exactly what I wanted… this geat feeling of satisfaction 😉

    hey there,

i know this was a long time ago but i’ve got exactly the same problem… if you can remember any more details about how you solved this problem i’d be eternally grateful.

    thanks in advance.
