FCP with Boris gives me good results, but yes, you do have to keyframe. There is the Title Crawl tool as well, just under Boris (Title 3D). That’s a bit weird to use though, because, in my experience, it’s dependent not on key frames but length of clip.

Did you set your Playback Quality to High or Dynamic? How bout your render settings? What kinda of footage are you working with, in what kinda of sequence settings? HD, DV, etc…? Shovel some more info our way, and we’ll see what we can come up with.

Since I’ve upgraded to 2.0, MBE will crash FCP 5.0x if there’s another filter on the same clip. Sometimes, it’ll crash it if it’s the only filter on the clip. I’m working on a G5 dual2.5 with an x800XT and 4.5 gigs of RAM. And I 2nd what’s been said elsewhere that it’s very slow. Leave it till the very end of your project and then use em…..

I think I’ll give ‘er a try. We’re working on a dual 2.5 G5 with 4.5 gigs of RAM and an x800XT, so hopefully it won’t be too render time nappy….
