I’m not totally clear on how to do this in Motion, but Final Cut has it’s own page turn transition. I imagine it’s difficult to do in Motion without true 3D compositing.

I agree. Also, I believe you have to have a plug-in for Motion to import an AI file.

Ah, but how do you draw it straight? Holding shift doesn’t work.

Not sure if you have Motion, but I like that for more complicated titles. (I use Boris if they’re simple enough). Also, if you have a ton of titles, there’s a great little app that Digital Heaven makes(https://www.digital-heaven.co.uk/#) called AutoMotion. I’m still getting the hang of it, but it makes quick work of multiple titles. 🙂

I thought there might be a way to do it with a replicator. I’m for sure going to try that this weekend.
I agree, he prequels were pretty rancid.

That looks great!
Yeah, I had some difficulties trying to get the 3d effect to not jump around and go all crazy-like. I forgot about the light rays! Good idea. I think the trick will be to animate it….. i might fuss around some more and see if I get anything worth a darn.
Nice work!

Cool. Too bad I don’t have AFX. Let us know if it works though! 😀
I did kinda mess around with the extrude function in Motion, with the font with line and no fill, and it looks kinda close, but there’s no way to adjust the transparency of the extrude filter. That would help a lot…..
I was thinking maybe there’s some way to do it with the replicate function, but I’m not totally sure how to go about using it for that….

I have an Epson R220 that will print direct on ink jet printable CD’s and DVD’s. Will Disclable print to that printer correctly, or am I stuck with the god-awful program that came with the printer? (“Epson Print CD” is the worst P.O.S. I have ever used. It doesn’t even have an Undo function!!!)

Just goes to prove technology is to fast now for it’s own good. Having so many formats, can IMHO, have a negative effect. Seems to me there should be a pro HD/SD format, consumer HD/SD format. In those parameters you have varying degrees of equipment, not format, to choose from.
Of course, I know this is far too simplistic, and will never happen, but it’s fun to dream.

I’ve had this crop up before, but only when I tried to do a Capture Now and not a Log then Capture. I’ve found a slightly less annoying work around…. by logging a tap in 2 halves, making sure there is some over lap so I don’t loose any footage. This almost always gets the job done when I don’t have specific logging info to go by, and it’s just the whole tape I need. Hope this helps!
