Hi Joni,
Decklink Pro card works only on PCI-X slot., Apple MacPro only have PCI-e slot available. Definitely not gonna work. You might want to go for Decklink Extreme PCI-e card to make it work.
Thanks,

Hi Benny,
“they both look pretty much the same appart from the gentlock stuff. is the gentlock so important,”
If your FCP system connects to other more systems like VTR’s and NLE’s, my advice is to take the HDPlus (the one with Genlock). Genlock used for referencing the timing signals across all your machines/equipments.Otherwise, as a standalone unit. You can have the DecklinkHD. This card uses the input digital video signal which carries together with a sync into your card, and while outputting it also generates sync that feeds into your VTR.
” what is all this SDI about? ”
SDI – Serial Digital Interface .. A Digital Video Standard ,a method that can hold Digital Video, Digital Audio and timecode in one digital cable. I express this as layman as possible, so please other guru out there, please spare me..
My advice to learn more about SDI.. goto http://www.smpte.org
“read that is just a faster method to transfer files than firewire and to connect to decks.”
One way to explain this, SDI runs uncompressed Video signals like 8bit or 10bit digital video, uncompressed video means quality resolution. This will connect to your decks which caters SDI outputs. (Digibeta, HDCamSR,D5 etc..) Thou, by using firewire you can’t do uncompressed due to its bandwidth limitation (maybe in near future).decks like DVCam.DVCPro etc..
I hope i add more confusions to you..

Hello Manuel,
You might want to downgrade your declink driver to 4.6.
Search Post type in ‘double speed”
Here is one of those thread:
It sounds like you may have shot a different frame rate and the DeckLink is removing the flagged frames.
You could revert to a pre varicam support drivers which would ignore the flagged frames.
Have you checked that there is movement on every frame and that it’s not 29.97p within 59.94p with every other frame repeated.
