Here is the big problem from the get go … Hiss in spades … I have E-mailed you 2 MP 3’s just increasing the audio by 6 db and then doing a hard limit which brings the volume of the voices closer together … The other I did all of the above then used to hiss removal feature in the noise reduction tab …

This will give you better audio but there will always be hiss in it … The problem with taking the remaining hiss out with noise reduction is that you get digitizing or what I fondly refer to as the “rain barrel effect” and it is UGGGLLYY!!! Just go to EXPORT > AUDIO in Pre Pro … Once you do that open Audition and on the edit side go to FILE then open the audio clip that you exported from Pre Pro … There are several differnt ways to boost the audio, one is to simply go to EFFECTS > AMPLITUDE > AMPLIFY/FADE and boost the audio by however many DB you need … You can also use the NORMALIZE, or HARDLIMIT feature in the same tab … If you would like to send me a minute or so sample I can see what the best way for you to go is … E-mail to loganonestudio@aol.com ……… WILLIE

Personally I have always composed and played my own music, but because I am doing a weekly fishing program now I am going to try and do some composing with the Audition loops … I will let you know how it goes ……….. WILLIE

There are two ways to do this … One you can highlight all the waves by going to EDIT > SELECT ALL CLIPS now make sure that they are not “LOCKED IN TIME” if any of the clips are just right click on the track that is, this will lock all of the tracks in time , now right click again and it will unlock them … Now right click and hold the button down and all the tracks will move together … The other way is to do a mixdown of the exsisting tracks by going to an empty track in the session right click and you will get a screen look for MIXDOWN TO TRACK (BOUNCE) when you select that you will get another menu select ALL AUDIO CLIPS … Now you have a mixdown of the session in one track that you can add the new audio to … If you choose to do the mixdow remember to solo that track when you are working with it ………. At the left side of each track in the session side it has an “IN OUT” this lets you select the source that you want Audition to track from or playback to … To change a source just left click on the in and a list will come up just select the one you want to use and hit OK …I hope this helps ……… WILLIE

Go back to the tutorial from Aug. 4Th this will give you a step by step for noise reduction … One thing you will have to do is take it out a little at a time and remember that with just voice you will have digitizing issues … When you change frequency you will change time, so by making it a higher pitch your clip will become faster … It is easily done, simply left click on the TIME STRETCHING function at the top of the page on the session side … This is the 4Th button in from the left side … Once that is depressed just left click and hold on the bottom left corner of the audio clip you would like changed, (make it shorter for higher pitch and longer for lower)…
