You have to EXPORT AUDIO out of Pre pro you can’t just copy and paste it … Once you fix what you want to fix you need to save the changes and then replace the old audio with the corrected clip … The new clip will sync up as long as you keep the same start point as the original clip ………… WILLIE

When you import the Video file into Audition you can see the picture playing in a monitor within the program … When you export it will remix the original with the voice over … If you record your audio and import it to P Pro you can only sync to one frame so if it is critical to be spot on then record it as I suggested in my last post … As far as equipment goes, if you have a mic input on your equipment you can record driectly on to Audition … Once the audio is remixed into the video clip you don’t have any sync issues unless you didn’t sync it up right before the remix … Make sure your session is set to a 48K sample rate … If you need more help go to the creative cow Audition 1.5 forum where I will get your post quicker than here ……. Adam,

I have done a bit of recordeing with distortion and I just went from the effects pedal to my mixer but you can’t get the dynamics that you get from a speaker … The best way is to mic the amp … I like to put the amp in a closet …….. WILLIE

I would highly suggest using Adobe Audition 1.5 … You can import the video clip into Audition, do your voice over and export it and Audition will mix the voice over into the clip … Personally I like to do the voice over and add it as a second audio track in Pre Pro just in case I need to make changes to it … You can plug a mic into your soundcard if you don’t have a mixer … You can purchase an adpter from Radio Shack to convert from the 1/4 phone jack from the mic to the mini phone that is needed to plug into the computer sound card … WILLIE

    Humphrey,

Bring them into the session side, it should be a mono wave … Go to EDIT > MIXDOWN TO FILE > ALL AUDIO CLIPS if you only have one clip up … If you have more then select the one you want to mixdown … It will mixdown to the edit side and be two tracks … To improve the stereo field go to EFFECTS > AMPLITUDE > CHANNEL MIXER > WIDE STEREO FIELD … After you do that just save the new mixdown ……….
