I am getting ready to import my video into my Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5 and editing it to make into a DVD..I would like to try to do some voice overs on some of this film.
Can you give me any suggestions on the product that would be good to use for this and will work well with this program? Also is this a dificult task to do?
Any suggestions with this would be greatly appreicted..I have not tried doing this before.

I would highly suggest using Adobe Audition 1.5 … You can import the video clip into Audition, do your voice over and export it and Audition will mix the voice over into the clip … Personally I like to do the voice over and add it as a second audio track in Pre Pro just in case I need to make changes to it … You can plug a mic into your soundcard if you don’t have a mixer … You can purchase an adpter from Radio Shack to convert from the 1/4 phone jack from the mic to the mini phone that is needed to plug into the computer sound card … WILLIE

    Thanks Willie
Is it hard to match up the voice over to the picture if you use it as a second track?.I would like to keep the background sounds on it also since they are mostly of nature and just beable to voice over parts of it explaining what we are looking at.. (make sense)
Do you do the voice over and save it on your computer in a format and than drag it into the sequence like you do a song if you want to add that in? Or can you actually view it in the moniter and voice it as you watch it and have it put where it needs to go.
Also does it stay in squence when exporting it to the DVD?
Sorry about all the questions but I have not tried this before and I would really like to get it to work.

Can I just plug in the MIC to the soundcard of my editing system with out purchasing an additional program other than Adobe Premiere Pro 1.5?

I am thankful for any and all help you will give to me

When you import the Video file into Audition you can see the picture playing in a monitor within the program … When you export it will remix the original with the voice over … If you record your audio and import it to P Pro you can only sync to one frame so if it is critical to be spot on then record it as I suggested in my last post … As far as equipment goes, if you have a mic input on your equipment you can record driectly on to Audition … Once the audio is remixed into the video clip you don’t have any sync issues unless you didn’t sync it up right before the remix … Make sure your session is set to a 48K sample rate … If you need more help go to the creative cow Audition 1.5 forum where I will get your post quicker than here …….
