Okay, I figured it out.
Warp in the distort effects and then just adjust the amount. Problem solved.
Sorry to bother.

Thanks Jeff! That was super helpful, especially the .iso file info. My workflow just got more streamlined.
Thanks again.

Thanks Todd, for helping with my obvious brain fart.

Well my post in the broadcasting forum generated a response that answered the question. I’m going to be using ProRes LT to capture.
Thanks to Mark Spano for the assistance.

Thanks so much Mark! I completely missed the ProRes LT as an option. I’ll be trying it tonight.
Thanks again,

Thanks for the quick response!
Okay, so I’m gonna do 2 separate outputs.
My producer views the files via computer which means a progressive output.
We also upload an OP1a IMX30 NTSC file to a captioner, who then uploads a digital file to the station (not sure what format). What I don’t know is whether the OP1a file needs to be progressive or interlaced.
Regardless, what you’re saying is that I can do all that at export instead of messing with individual clip settings. Right? 🙂

Okay that was lucky!
I found a fix.
I simply created the digital version of the dvd using MacTheRipper and then created my MP4 by using Handbrake on that digital copy rather than ripping directly from the disk. I still get a slight video glitch, but that is far more acceptable that the audio drop-out. In the past I’ve ended up reconstructing individual words to cover it.
Sorry to waste bandwidth, but maybe this’ll help someone else.

Hey there,
Thanks very much for the offer. It turns out there were some incorrect settings on the box that manages output from the Beta decks. A few minor chroma and luma tweaks and the ingest looks fantastic… okay, as fantastic as Beta SP can look.
Thanks again for all the assistance.
