You need to do what you say you can’t do in your last line, but you need also use the Media Manager to create a new offline sequence where you’ve deleted all the unused media from it.

Select your sequence, then choose File->Media Manager…

    Choose “Create Offline”
    Select your sequence preset
Turn ON all the remaining checkboxes, enter your desired handle size.

    Save the new project file.

You clearly have issues, but the issues could be on your end. I use the Avid Codecs on Intel-based Macs and I play back Meridien media.

To install the codecs it’s a metter of unzipping the codec package and simply dragging the various Avid codec components into the Library>Quicktime folder.

No. The latest Avid codecs are in an installer. You run the installer, no more unzipping then you manually put them where they go. Sounds like your codecs are not up to date.

The file you will download from here will be called “AvidCodecsLE_1.8MAC” and when you unzip it you will run “AvidCodecsLE.pkg”

I don’t know what thread you’re talking about, but have you looked at Pro Import FCP?

I’ve posted the solution many times on the COW, I don’t know if you can search for the solution.

    Two suggestions:

    a) render from AE to Animation Codec. Let FCP render in the timeline.

    b) render from AE to Animation Codec. Open movie in QuickTime Player then Export to HDV 1080i60

You can’t use a codec on Windows that doesn’t exist on Windows.

  • Premiere Pro’s project file format is XML, you could always write the project file directly. 🙂

The -1 values are not a problem.

Perhaps you should ask your questions on the pro apps dev list.

The first clip probably has a start and a duration, so you can figure out what the end would be, therefore you can figure out the start of the next clip. Then, since you know the duration of the second clip, you can figure out the end of the second clip and the start of the third, and so on…

-1 means either you or FCP must calculate the start or end. Look at the preceding/succeeding clip(s).
