  • Manually make AAF file (mulit-track EDL) from timecode data

Does anybody know of a software program or plug-in that allows the user to manually write an AAF file from timecode in/out points pertianing to where each clip is located in the reel and from timecode in/out points that reference where each clip is to be placed on each respective audio and video track?

More particularly I need a program that can generate this AAF file from existing timecode data already stored in a spreadsheet like Excel using some format it can output such as csv; making it similar to a batch log file but for the purpose of making a multi track EDL in the form of an AAF file so I don’t have to import separate EDL’s for every video track I wish to utilize (since EDL’s only handle one video track)?

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Also, if there is a better forum to post this in, please let me know which one(s). I posted this here because Premier Pro is what I will use and its only multi-track EDL option is AAF.

Premiere Pro’s project file format is XML, you could always write the project file directly. 🙂
