No, I just see Adobe Desk Top Audio and Adobe DV in the Playback drop down. I’ve confirmed the card is working, since I can access it directly with the Black Magic Media Express software.

Thanks, Peter. Did not resolve the problem. Is that path, per chance, for a Mac? I don’t find a similar directory structure on my Windows machine. I did find Program Files/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/ and in there a series of .prm files beginning with BMD, which I assume is Black Magic Device, but still no luck seeing the Intensity card when I try to select it for Audio Hardware inside Premiere CC. It did work in CS 6.

Well, actually it is a DVI device. You can get an adapter from Apple for a DVI output. Turns out, works just fine with the DVI Extender. I discovered the 30 pin plug on my iPad is a little flakey. Wiggle it just right and everything works.

Thanks. Since I’m new to Macs, where do I find open CL acceleration?

Already did that. They think it’s an Adobe issue.

Oh, but that would be wrong. What was I thinking? I’ll contact my source and see if they can get me unencrypted files…
Thanks again for the quick response.

    Thanks for the response.
I was afraid of that. I have permission to use the files. Is there a way to rip them like one can from standard DVDs?

  • Sub clips works best for me. As I’m logging the bites, I create a sub clip for everything I think I might use. I give it a short descriptive name identifying the speaker and subject – “JT – scared the heck out of me.” I’m a one-man band, meaning I’m writing the script and inserting the bites and editing the final piece, so this shorthand speeds my workflow.

You can do adjustment layers on video in later editions of Photoshop. Haven’t played with it much myself, but just recently watched a rich Harrington tutorial on using photoshop and then ae to create a film look.
