    Greetings,
I’m trying to import a Blu-ray DVD into CS5.5. I’ve copied the BDMV folder to my hard drive, but when I try to import the .m2ts files using the media browser I get an error message that ‘the file has an unsupported compression type.’ Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

BluRay files are encrypted. It’s illegal to use these files directly from a BluRay Disc.

It’s not that m2ts is not supported, just not encrypted ones from BluRay – it works fine with files from a Camera that shoots in m2ts.

    Thanks for the response.
I was afraid of that. I have permission to use the files. Is there a way to rip them like one can from standard DVDs?

I have no experience doing that, but I can’t stop you from looking 🙂

Oh, but that would be wrong. What was I thinking? I’ll contact my source and see if they can get me unencrypted files…
Thanks again for the quick response.
