You probably hit a 2GB file limit wherever you’re rending to. Render to your desktop or internal hard drive and see if that fixes it.

4k is being used more and more in Trade Shows for the “Wow” factor. We’re in discussions right now with a few clients about this.
I had some great insight from Gary Adcock during the Southeast Creative Summit on how to use 4k effectively in a trade show environment to simply blow people away and drive traffic to a booth.
[Nick Brown] “Unless you have a very controlled environment like a theater and the trade show isn’t NAB and your client is a 4K equipment company then HD video is still excellent quality and 4K playback is not worth the expense.”
It’s completely worth the expense when done correctly and honestly the expense is not all that much when you’re simply renting the gear and someone like my company is controlling the media playback.

We have projects of 2-6TB in Premiere Pro. Our systems are connected to a 100TB server. As long as you have a sufficient RAID and speed off that RAID, you’ll be fine.

Did they not send you an XML back? You should be able to simply import the XML.
Or if the Resolve clips are all in numerical order, simply grab all of them and drag them to a video track above your original clips. They should fall right into the place.
In the future, you could just have the Resolve file come back as a single movie file to make it super easy to replace. That’s what we do here in my shop.

Anything that would be considered a “Serious Gaming PC” would be good for Premiere Pro. They generally have top notch graphics cards. I would personally run no less than 16GB RAM though if you can get it.
I have no clue on CS5 though because that is so old, I have no idea how well that would run on the newer OS which I assume will be Windows 8 when you get it.

Probably the easiest way to do this is either:
Cut each scene in three timelines simultaneously with each timeline open so you simply switch back and forth between them to see your work
or
Cut each scene in a different video track and them simply turn the tracks on and off to see what’s going on. You could run each track at 50% size so you can see all of them simultaneously, then simply bring them all back up to 100% size and export each video track independently. You get the three videos all cut in one timeline.

Honestly, who cares? Dual screens never look exactly the same, even when you have two of the same make, same model unless you have dual graphics cards and just driving one monitor off each card. Even there it’ll be slightly different.
You go by your external reference monitor for all final color decisions. If it looks correct on there, it will look good on all televisions and computer screens.

Nope and we won’t until every plug-in and hardware product we use says they are Maverick ready. I have no clue why folks want to switch over the day a new OS comes out. We are usually 30 – 60 days behind a release. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
