I do not have your SpillSlayer.
But try this
In a composition with your Background and foreground layers
any your key layer if separate ( as that becomes your keying mask.
On the mask layer apply an opacity reduction. ( to suit your eye).On the foreground layer apply a levels correction effect. set output white ( lower slider display) to set foreground to taste ) set the blacks also to best match your vision of the shot.
Adjust gamma ( middle triangle, upper slider display) to a level where you believe it best serves focusing the audience on the talent.Hit Ctrl + Alt + y to create an adjustment layer. Rename the layer color correction or CC.
To this you can apply you favorite color correction effect. A photo filter, a gradient anything you like.
Apply an opacity adjustment to the CC layer to best match the look you are going for.If the result still looks like it has too sharp an edge;
Try one or more;A. Try adjusting the spill or other edge related settings in your key effect.
B. Try adding a very slight box blur to your keying mask.
C.Try adding a different blend mode.
As always take notes before and after so you know where you made changes and the result. Include what you did or did not like about each change.
You will find the same methods on different footage give different results. Writing down why you think the results are different can add to your understanding of digital imaging in the future.
As a side note;

Before you startIf the BG and FG footage were not shot with the same camera
or if they are not even the same aspect -etc. Learn how to match grain etc. To make your chroma keyed shots look more like one single shot.Also

April 30, 2016 at 1:05 am in reply to: Audio doesn’t play back, even though audio meters have signalOpen the audio mixer. Find out if you have muted those tracks or soloed the first video track.
Look on the time lime at the audio track controls. Nothing muted or soloed?
What happens when you enter the footage into it’s own comp?
Are levels audible?Adrian D\’Alessio aka; Fluxstringer

April 30, 2016 at 1:00 am in reply to: Relink Preview files after close projetDid you find anything to indicate how it happened so you can re-render the project?
Are your CPU and GPU up to the tasks of what you are asking Premiere to do?
How about breaking the tracks down into one scene at a time?
Or Rendering out the overlays into sub sequences?Do you have enough RAM. Have you ever monitored RAM and CPU use when working an edit?
You did not say if you have permanently lost half of your footage or just on the part you sent out to be returned.

April 29, 2016 at 4:01 pm in reply to: Relink Preview files after close projetDo you have an automatic “cache purge” set?
Are you working from multiple drives?
Is your drive big enough to hold all of the previews generated?
I am guessing here but I am assuming a small CPU takes time rerendering these. So the file loss is adding lots of edit time.
Try saving the XML and EDL files when you close in the future.
I assume you have looked in your cache folders for the previews.
I also assume you searched all drives that were present during your close.
You can see which folders are chosen by going to the menu for “Edit” selecting prefs and then “media”.
However some files will be in the folder where the project itself is.
Caching set up varies with Pr version and your own settings.

April 29, 2016 at 3:45 pm in reply to: MTS video problem: Interview video cuts off, footage missingYou are not saying which file became shorter.
If that happened when editing look to see if you are working on a file that was exported but just from the length of the workbar rather than the whole sequence.A common mistake.
Then it got re-imported. Or somehow a sequence got cut. Look in project history.
