Effect Mask showing on dissolve
I’m using a crop effect with a mask on the lower third to apply a feather to one edge only. When i dissolve the lower in, the mask applies to the video below only during the dissolve. I would like the mask to only apply to the lower third and not on the video on the layer below.

I found a workaround, which is not to use the dissolve effect but to use the opacity keyframes to create the dissolve.

I assume you tried all of the blend modes.
