How about doing a magic bullet render test using the color reversal preset?

I tried fixing it to 1.5 times my current ram. Windows still automatically decided to change it in the middle of a render and hosed the render. Thanks for the tip.

I don’t use LE much anymore at all. I use Vegas(because of 24pa). I miss the realtime effects though. Vegas renders a little slow but is rapidly improving and network rendering rocks. I’m network rendering over a wireless and it works! I don’t like the titler either, and really miss Title Motion. I have not found a good one yet. I have heard Tim talk about Heroglypf 2(you can download a demo). I tried it and I don’t love it yet?? We need to pressure Title Motion. If they can support Premier Pro, then they should support Vegas. They are missing the boat!! If they had it, I would buy now!! It is the only thing that is not good about Vegas except for no Hardware support. Were you using Premier or Razor?

I use LE also and did some side by side tests. I compared 10 megs per second and the DV 3.4 and could not see any difference. Except that the reds are really jaggie. I hate this about DV.

Thanks for the tips guys. No go. I did more testing. If I export to a new AVI file the markers are there and import fine into DVDA3. But will require a lenghty render. I would like to render it in Vegas 6 as the DVDA template but when I do and import to DVDA no markers. Even after hitting the add marker button, nothing. What am I doing wrong? Or is it not possible to save the markers in the DVDA template in Vegas6.

If you can get the P4 with true HT. You can network render on the single chip by running 2 instances of the network render engine. I tried it and it is a little faster. 4.5 minutes vs. 6 minutes. Same machine.

The P2 has already come down. In a recent press release, the 8GB P2 will be $1700.00. I hope they will get even cheaper. If not, I will happily capture to an external HD solution. As I will with my DVX100 and XL1. Tape will die out soon. Even if a HVX300 comes out, the 200 will be good for at least the next 5-7 years. FYI- tape will die for me soon. Spent 6 hours yesterday filming a wedding. Spent 5 hours today capturing. Let the tape death begin. (120 GB Harddrive $39.00 Yeeehaaaa!)
