I am trying to run two instances of the network renderer. I have a HT chip and want to render things faster. I have tried the following according to the help file. One instance works fine. WhenI type in the command line to start the second I get the following message

“an error has occured configuration file does not exist. the app. must quit.
Below are the command lines i’m using

    At command prompt:

    cd c:program filessonyvegas 5.0

vegSrv50.exe -nosave -config NetRenderClient.config (default port)

vegSrv50.exe -nosave -config NetRenderClient2.config (add 1 number up from default)

i’m pretty sure you need dual cpu to run 2 NRS ( renderers at same time ) on one computer..

i believe to run 2 NRS (one computer) you need to assign the 2nd NRS to run the 2nd CPU on a different TCP port. default might be 53704 so the 2nd TCP needs to be different

No, you can run two network nodes on a hyperthreaded machine.
As you suggest, you need to set up an alternate port.

Checked everything and it’s identical, I renamed the file to NetRenderService2.config and changed the port from port=”53704″ to port=”53705″ Still no go.
