Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s not possible to do basic alpha channel composit for titles in resolve, is it?
I would love if in the future Resolve would get just the most *basic* compositing features.

In your project settings there is an option to read clip names from EDL comment field (which is I believe where FCP would put the full RED and 5D clip names).
If you’ve already tried that and it’s not helping, it may be a little disheartening, especially with 5D…

I just put this idea in motion today, and I really like it. It allows me to have some key buttons “always there” unlike a lot of functions on the wave that would have required tabbing through several banks.
Having fast access to all the different kinds of add node, add version, cycle through versions makes using davinci with wave even snappier!

Getting memories supported with a normal keyboard/wave setup is on top of my personal to do list right now. It seems silly to leave that out.

I actually had this happen to me. I thought I was doing something wrong, and haven’t had time to investigate, but hey if it happened to you, maybe it’s a bug?
Same setup – 4k red raw, 1080p sequence. My rectangular window outline was showing up some ways below the actual window.

Have you tried this concept out yet? I think I might try that out this weekend with some spare (and overly clean) looking red footage.

You might want to do that just because the quad core mac won’t be able to handle Resolve all that well unfortunately.
The plus is, when you buy a new Mac Pro you can take one of the nice new ATI cards and put it in your Color machine to make it faster!
