remove Decklink and then check the raid speed with some other utility (disk speed won’t work without decklink)

    Hi Margus,

I would say go with DL pro, it is indeed a good idea to monitor interlaced edits and motions graphics in their native resolution/format.

As far as audio is concerned you can route it through regular sound card. These days most of the sound cards have SPDIF and they are usually under 50 USD.

    hope that helps

[Jeff Bernstein] “And where would the green come from? “

FYI – It is possible to have green if you have red and blue available, how do you think Y, Y-“R” and Y-“B” work?

and Neil you do have some interesting theory but it’s not gonna happen like that. Think of S-video more like native television format. Basically instead of routing CVBS on a single carrier, what you have is Luminance (VBS) and Croma (C – colour information) seperately. This way croma doesn’t have to piggy back Y (luma), which also means that Y gets full bandwidth. and we get better sharper video and better colours.

Digital motion, don’t even bother to convert composite to Y/C, you will still be looking at composite quality. Best would be to have component monitor.

    Cheers

yes it’s annoyingly standard on analog outputs but surprisingly it doesn’t happen on the SPDIF out (RCA out on the card)

    Hi Leo,

Check footage interpertation, it could be wrong aspect ratio.

    cheers
