First, I’d make swatches for all of the colors.
Second, create a gradient swatch that holds the dark and light colors.

Once you determine how many divisions you want in the radial pattern, you would create your main ‘wedge’ or spoke, apply the gradient to it, than use the technique in the tutorial to complete the pattern.

Fraps uses a fraps codec. All footage should be decompressed or recompressed to a lossless codec before editing. I use AVS Video Converter.
Regarding your frame size, both dimensions should be divisible by 16, you should change both.
Resize the video with Video Effect/Distort/Transform.

I could be mistaken, but I don’t believe there is a way to trick premiere into reading another file as the source file.. sorry. I’m pretty sure I’ve tried this in the past.

I’m not sure about Elements.. In PP you can position text in the Titler with the Selection Tool – the black arrow. Or, with the title selected in the timeline, use the Motion parameter in the Effect Controls tab. Or, use the Selection Tool directly on the the Monitor.

You can also use the Motion control to resize/position the clip, but you should use Video Effects/Distort/Transform, for higher quality.

Perhaps your DVD player does have some settings that would address this??
Sounds like the video is displaying in Pan & Scan mode. You can edit the IFO files to prevent this, with IFOEdit.

Sounds like a bad seller. Saying you can get a serial ‘off the internet’ is wrong.
Maybe you could call Adobe to see if they have a solution to acquire the serial that is linked to the disc you have, the serial that ‘you lost’.

Generally, better hardware is better. It’s difficult for me to say what was causing the hiss you described, so I can’t say if buying a better mic would address the issue.
An idea you can always keep in mind is the acronym – CICO, google it.

Ideally, you don’t want to fix anything in post, but stuff just happens sometimes.
