‘sliding’.. It sounds like you may have added keyframes. One with a starting position, and another with a an ending position.
Either try making the positions the same, or get rid of the additional keyframe.Using Effect/Distort/Transform to resize the image will give better results than the motion parameter, at the cost of a slightly increased render time.
If your video is interlaced, you should r-click on the clip and set it to deinterlace.
Just some ideas.

Could you File/Save for Web, as GIF or PNG? Make sure Transparency is checked in the web export interface.
If you use PNG, you should run the image through PNGOptimizer or similar app, to strip the gamut info from the file.
Also with PNG, you might want to look into the IE6 PNG Transparency issue.
It’s often easier to just use a GIF, and set the appropriate matte color.Vince

I realize this is an old thread.
In illustration, 3D is an illusion.
You would need a 3D app to create a 3D object. You could use Effect/3D on an object. But, it doesn’t actually create a 3D object, it just appears to be 3D.
You can also use Illustrator to create splines for use in 3D apps.

I’ve only seen thickened ‘i’ or ‘l’ in PDFs on screen, however I have seen all type appear heavier when outlined and printed – at least, in digital print.
It’s possible your printer may be using a different version of the same typeface, which could definitely cause unexpected results such as this, especially if any stroke or other effects are applied to the text.
Unless you expect your printer to make edits to your text, I’d create a text-outlined version of the file (myfile_ol.ai), and give that to your printer. It would eliminate the issue.

Paint Brushes are editable within the Brushes palette. If you want to edit the color, drag the brush onto the artboard, change the color, than drag that object back to the Brushes palette to create a new brush with the new colors.

You can drag vectors or rasters into the Swatches palette, than use them as fills. Vectors can be solids or gradients.
I recall that some vectors must be expanded (object/expand) before they can be added to Swatches, but I can’t think of the specifics right now.As far as applying a pattern on top of an image or some other object, you could create a new shape object on top of the image, apply the pattern to it, than set the appropriate transparency mode if necessary.
To create the 10×10, select the Rectangle Tool and click on the artboard. There you can enter the specific dimensions. Or you can use the Transform palette if the object has already been drawn.
Hope this helps

Based on my reading of your description, I’m not sure why you wouldn’t be able to use the copy function in the rotate tool to do this.
Since Copy, Paste, and Rotate functions are scriptable, you could always look into creating an Illustrator Script.
If you devise a solution for this, please let us know. 🙂

Ungroup everything.
Outline the strokes.
Select all and Object/Compound Path/Make.Now, any gradient applied will apply to the whole object.

You would have to recolor the JPG logo, or change the black on the card.
Can the components of the logo be pulled into Illustrator so that you would have a vector logo, to work with?Vince
