Thermaltake has been my choice over the years. But if you are not overclocking, the stock sink/fan should be enough.
Encore uses the same encoder as Premiere, but you have to create presets to get the same setting flexibility.
For anything under 1 hour, 7.5 Mb/s or 8 Mb/s* CBR is usually the way to go.
*Only for higher end blank media and recorders.

Did you check the thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink? Also make sure that it’s a tight fit. That alone is the cause of most overheating. Tweaking of the BIOS is pretty specific to the machine you have.
You can also download speedfan to make sure that’s the issue.

Hi VeeKay,
The beeping could be a BIOS CPU heat warning. If that’s the case, and this is a home build, it may be time to reapply some thermal paste or check the fans. Of course it could be something else, what is the beeping pattern, is this an off the shelf machine or home built?
100% CPU is common with Premiere, especially during rendering, or transcoding when going to Encore. It is perfectly normal.

Somewhere in your workflow, the files were exported at the wrong frame rate. I would go back to the original files and start exporting again. There just isn’t much you can do to correct it after the fact.
What is the original frame rate of your footage?

Yes, any media attached to the project, I would also backup the auto-save files, you never know when they might come in handy.

Hi Justin,
The issue lies with Quicktime Windows (which I’m assuming you are using). What you are seeing is a gamma shift, and there are a few fixes around, including this one.

All you will need to restore a project is the project(s) file itself, and any media you brought in.
I would also recommend a clone backup of you OS drive so that you can quickly get back to work with plugins and up to date software, should that drive get corrupted get fail.

To avoid flagging issues, try exporting as 854×480 (Square Pixels) instead.

Hi Daniel.
By replacing the same sequence with Premiere open you are also risking a nasty crash. I’ve seen it happen a few times until I bit the bullet.
My advice is to simply create new folders with version numbers, and relink in the project manager.
