This can very well be done with the 3 Way Color Corrector. As for an easy way ( if that means not CCing every single clip) probably not. You can do the main grades on the first couple of clips Blueish, Redish, Greenish etc and copy past to other clips in the Sequence per your choosing, but as Shane mentions every clip will most likely have to be tweaked for the best look.

If possible I would prefer Apple Color. Its just my preference.

Our shop edits about 80% XDCamHD Disc media running at 35mbps VBR between our 4 national series and other various projects. Although we do not have the 50mbps cameras the only issues we have with error messages is due to render files mistakenly being placed in the wrong place (system drive) mainly into a folder inside the FCP Application File itself.

I have found this to happen from time to time if one of our MacPro’s was forced quit. Sometimes when relaunching Final Cut the Scratch Disc is reset to the system drive. I make it a practice to check all our edit suite machines each month by checking the Applications folder for renders gone astray. It usually does the trick.

Other than that I would;
Check sequence settings, create new sequence and drop a XDCam HD 422 clip in it.
delete prefs
Check your media array like Walter described
Check for XDCam Transfer updates

Try Clicking on your timeline
Press T (Track Tool) on your keyboard 4 times and watch your curser turn into arrows.
Dual arrows pointing right lets you click and highlight everything right of where you click.
Type in + 10 and your highlighted section should move right 10 frames. + 200 you get the idea.
Press A (Selection Tool) to get out of Track Tool Mode.

or
To perform an insert edit:
Specify the necessary edit points and destination tracks, then do one of the following:
Drag a clip from the Viewer or Browser to the Insert section of the Edit Overlay in
the Canvas.
Click the Insert button in the Canvas.
Press F9.

If F9 does not insert your clip, you need to adjust its setting in System Preferences

Our facility uses Apple 24s and 20s in 5 of the suites, the other suite has a Dell Ultra Sharp combo, In the studio we have a single Dell 24, not much editing goes on there. Personally I own a pair of Dells and am very pleased with either. I have also worked with a single 30 Apple display and it was odd having everything on one huge display since I am used to having 2 programs open at once, Expose and Spaces fix this problem, but I do like to work with a dual display system.
