Digital Anarchy’s 3d Assistants is great. I’ve used it plenty of times to create grids, spheres boxes etc… Here is a cool script for making you layers into a sphere.. It creates a Control null that has a slider to control the radius..

Forgive the elementary response, but did you hightlight the position value of your object and Paste?

There are lots of ways.. I would search the posts and find a solution that fits your needs. I did just recently created something similiar. I rendered out my timeline as a filmstrip and imported it into Photoshop and then added the glass block effect, and then reimported it back into AE.. that came out pretty cool.

I dont think so. You could create ‘many’ instances through solids and use a plug in called 3d assistants from Digital Anarchy to create cylinder and sphere type shapes.

Looks like Trapcode’s 3D Stroke with the Repeater and heavy scale to get the dots.

Did you want to know how..? I assume so. Depending on what your animation is and it’s length and what it was you where trying to ask.. I’ll guess. You can just create a Custom Particle under Particle Type and choose your Comp with the animation. I usually use a Box Emitter if your are creating some sort of level “stage”.. Just mess around with your Emitter Sizes. Emitter Size for Y would be 0, and X and Z would be however ‘wide and far’ you’d like. Be sure to turn the Velocity to 0. If you want the particle to stop emitting you have to mess around with the Physics Time Factor. I think the default is 1. You’ll have to keyframe that from 1 to 0. Plus under the “Options”/”Emission Extras” you can Pre Run the particle. Did this answer your question?

Silly question, but are you sure you copied the actual path in illustrator?
