There is no different frame rates.
All of the media is 29.97 1080i Drop frame
I am starting at the Project setting level, the settings are all correct, all media is brought in prior to AAF with no issue. Media all matches the project settings. If I create a timeline myself I can have the appropriate and correct settings. Its the importing AAF step where the software has a new issue, I have finished over 500 episodes of this show using the same workflow and this issue is new to V17.
At the import AAF level the timeline settings are now impossible to set correctly. Blackmagic support is drawing a blank. If they dont have a fix by Friday Ill revert to 16 which is going to be a nightmare as the DB and server must be brought backwards and Ill have episodes stuck in no mans land,

November 23, 2016 at 3:43 pm in reply to: Dropping Frames with DeckLink Extreme 3D+ in FCP 7.I solved it years ago. Afraid you won’t like the answer. You must use the last version of OS that was supported by FCP7 and the last blackmagic driver. It’s been a long time so the numbers escape me, but reverting to the supported OS and Driver fixes the issue for me when I was having this problem. Sorry I can’t be more help, as you likely can’t run that old of an OS on your current hardware

Having same issue here, removed cooper ethernet software, can’t get resolve to see the board. Tristan did you get yours working? Do i need to make changes in the network setting from DHCP?

Blackmagic support confirmed it is a known issue and they have no intention of fixing it blaming Apple (despite the BM site claiming to work with FCP and Mountain Lion).
I switched to Lion and it works flawlessly. That said it isn’t simple to downgrade, I just installed a new startup disk and made a Lion system on it from scratch. Not a single dropped frame since.
