Have 2 systems set up using the Black Magic Decklink HD Extreme 3D card and both show a 1 frame picture and audio delay compared to the serial deck control timecode when capturing.
This is in SD or HD with no input processing selected from an SDI source.

So capturing an SDI clip with BITC which shows in sync with the deck control timecode after capture and played back shows the picture and audio 1 frame later than the timecode logged with the clip.
Only current solution is to modify the clip and decrement the timecode by 1 frame but that’s not really a solution in the real world.
    Anyone seeing this issue?
This is with the new 9.5 driver (didn’t test on the old one)

Pat i finally got a chance to try this at home with my Mac setup. Media Composer 6 with Extreme 3d card.
I am getting the same issue. Have only tried SD from a sony J3, but yes- on tape my slate hits at 01:00:45:00 but the captured footage in Avid shows it at 01:00:45:01. Have also tried capturing the same clip to FCP and Premiere, and do not see the issue there.

Anyone from Black Magic or Avid care to chime in?

    Glenn

No solution as yet. Basically we can’t and don’t use the BM cards for ingest. Just too many issues. We have problems with the analogue audio inputs not working as well as the capture offsets.

There’s no information from Black Magic at all.

I guess you get what you pay for and with a budget card your saving is the lack of support and development.
