Use a solid layer on top of that layer, that’s only half the width of the frame as a Track Matte.

April 30, 2015 at 7:47 am in reply to: Getting cartoon animation export to look like ram previewWhat is your final output for? Are you going to do some more work on it, is it for final playback and if so, for what device? It’s very important to be detailed- what do you exactly mean by- “to look like ram preview”? What exactly is different?
I understand your frustration but no need for some of the words in your post – we try to keep it clean around here.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Lighting FX- as the previous posts mention, that can be a very broad topic.
Lens Flares – Optical Flares, Knoll Light Factory, Boris Continuum…
Light FX – the ones AE has (CC) and Trapcode Shine, Lux, some stuff in Boris as well
Lights in other plugins – Zaxwerks ProAnimator 8 and up has some great lights and light rigs, Element 3D has it’s own Lights and soon the Mettle plugins as well.

If Chris Bobotis can pitch in maybe he can give you some details on a new Mettle plugin that can possibly work like a charm for projects like this.

I can see FreeForm Pro and ShapeShifterAE (latest version) working great for this. You can have your initial piece of paper animated with the 3d distortion / deformation tools and then use Generator to create the trail of papers following it. The neat thing with the latest versions is that you get delays in animation for the instances generated and you can add more randomness by using the Generator controls as well.

Yeah, I hear you. You’ll definetly get a kick out of this article:
https://www.techtimes.com/articles/42028/20150325/joss-whedon-vs-akira-kurosawa-who-s-better-filmmaker.htmI learned my editing on a kem six plate flat bed film editor, and looking ad films like “Pas de deux”. Growing up in a communist country with just 2 tv channels I got to see most of the black and white films of the past. The cinema’s where full of french productions- Delon, Belmondo, Defunes… fun times.
History – that’s another sad situation.
Don’t think though that you should not put your final product on YouTube – even if one person benefits from your research and effort I think it’s worth it.
