Are you rendering interlaced (i) or progressive (p) from C4D?

you can also try a camera track (Camera Tracker- The Foundry, or Boujou or Syntheyes) and then position the text in 3d on the first frame- it would help if you precomp the text and have a solid in that precomp just for positioning (kinda’ like what Dave was saying).

Keing any reflective surface is a challenge and almost impossible if the shoot was not well thought of in advance. The object needs to be far from the chroma background, with enough variety of other objects/color or black and white surfaces to eliminate any chroma reflection. Rotoscoping the object is the way to go. Mocha can help, but I would give Roto Brush a shot as well.

Card Dance can be used as well to create a similar animation, combined with the blur Kevin mentioned, glow and a Knoll Lens flare (stripe).

This was most likely done using a 3d app and some complex particle systems. If anything, Particular or Form my get close. The silhouette of the dancer comes from a real dancer shot on chroma and there may be some motion capture involved as well..

Zaxwerks Invigorator Pro can be used in AE to import 3D models and animate them. It can allow for some texturing and lighting as well. You would have to create the half earth and texture that in some other 3D app or maybe even using PSD.

That would do it- glad you figured it out. For future reference, if you gave us more info, like importing RED straight in AE, then one of us might have caught it sooner.

It may be that you need to do the shatter on two text layers, precomp them and time remap the second to reverse the effect and then fade between them.
