Make the disk layer a 3d layer.
Create a 3d Null.
Offset the Null on the z axis and parent the disk to it.
Animate the Null to move the disk and to turn. Because of the offset you will get a turn that is circular (the radius of the turn will be as big as the offset on the z axis).
Turn Motion Blur on and apply Easy Ease on the key frames at the beginning and the end of the turn, both on the position and rotation.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

Tricky one since not all edges are perpendicular on each other. You need to adjust the Orientation so when you rotate the layer the axis matches the angle of the edge.

Did you change the anchor point before or after parenting?
It seems that you changed them after, which would explain a weird behavior. Once parented, any change you apply on the parent layer will affect the parented layer.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

GIMP is free and it even has a Photoshop interface mode.

Even if you are the admin you still need to run the app in admin mode. Right click on AE and select Run as Administrator. This should solve your problem.

Hmm, I heard of issues with files over 2GB for Apple, because of QuickTime, but those here mostly with files on network drives.

Right now I can’t think of another way of doing this except to manually adjust the keyframes – maybe there is an expression that can adjust (increase) the x-y offset gradually so that in the end it matches the shake from the null and eliminates this way the shake… hmm, interesting. Any expression wizards out there?

If I understand correctly your question, you can link the first Null to a second one that controls the second animation. Start that animation before the first one ends and apply EasyEase to the last keyframe of the first animation and the first keyframe of the second animation. This should provide a smooth transition.
