For the Alexa footage I would do all my work at 23.976 fps and at the very end add the pull down and introduce those clips in my master.

Green chroma for sure – just follow Dave’s advice and shoot tests before to make sure you get the right results. Not seeing any storyboards I don’t know if you require a full body shot- but if you do, make sure you know all that a setup like that involves.

Export an uncompressed format, and then use Adobe Media Encoder to compress to H264. It will come out better.
Also, you can use QuickTime to export a full HD .mov. Even if it does not show up in the presets you can always st the size (and other parameters) manually in Encoder.Tudor “Ted” Jelescu

If that’s what you have then work at the final resolution. It would have been better to work at he 2k preset if you had that size footage and then scale down.

Boxx lets you have the option to combine a Quadro with a Geforce GTX 670 or 680, so I think a 460 should work as well. However, for $200 more you get better performance from a 670.
Next year there should be more options though.

Just draw the mask on a separate layer following the path you have already, starting from the point where you want the animation to start.

You could also pre-compose the first animation and then Time Remap the pre-comp accordingly.

You can always work in the 2k preset @ 32bit and then crop/re-size when exporting.

I’ve seen a pretty cool demo of Mocha Pro AE v3 at NAB with camera solves and 3d rotation. I think the pro version may be the tool you need for this.

I’ve seen many folks using a similar setup, so it does make sense. However, I would wait a bit for what next year has in store…
