Adam to the rescue! Thank you.
Your example provided some direction, however, what I need to do is have the wire come down from above. One end is to be attached to the spool and then the rest of the wire is then wound around it and then the other in a figure 8 sort of pattern. -

As far as I know, Rendering is basically tied to your CPU and has nothing to do with the graphics card. The graphics card will make a difference when using Enhanced Open GL in modeling and such.

I put together a setup that achieves what you may be going for. You can easily change the text and the extrusion length to your liking.

I was able to put together what I’m looking for.. but is there a way to get the particles (numbers) to come out more evenly spaced? Please see the attached file to see what I mean.
The 1’s and 0’s are also randomly spaced apart from each other. I’ve played with the various settings, birthrate and such to no avail.

Nice to see I was on kinda that right track.. I had a similar setup to what you achieved but just couldn’t figure out the math involved.. math just isn’t my thing.Thanks again, I really appreciate your help.

Your suggestion is exactly the way I have it setup, and I would have expected it to work, but it doesn’t.
In my setup: Position A – Position B —5 sec— Position B – Position A
During the —5 sec— part, there is a LOT of motion that was never keyframed in. I have tried several times… deleting all keyframes, starting from scratch, etc.
