  • This is shocking news Jon!
So what do I have to do now?
and do you or somebody knows the answers on the other questions?

I shot AG DVX100 AE 4:3 PAL Progressive (Scene 5)
I want to edit (I suppose progressive) and converse to widescreen? HOW DO I DO THIS CORRECTLY?

I am now editing in a pal project 4:3 interlaced, as PREMIERE pro 2 does not have a PAL progressive project preset. Where is this project 24p PAL?

What is best: 4:3 pal project with black bars or import the whole film into an 16:9 widescreen project

I hope people can help me, as this film is very imported for me. Thanks Ton

  • Dear Jon and Vince,

    Thanks both for the answers!

Vince: I don’t have two seperate audio files. I’ve just one stereo track on audio layer 1 (with left sound different from right sound).

    Dear mr. Baumchen,

Thank you so much for your answer. I will continue doing what I was doing, but still I think there should be an alternative.

Do you know: How whould I make the subtitles for a film that I have edited in Premiere, in a way that I can export the subtitles to a list with time code as well?

This should be an option right?
I hope to hear from you, so at least next time I won’t have this problem.

  • Sorry for the late reply, of course the frame shifting was as well after te rendering…
Eventually I solved this by putting between evry title (of more than 300) a blank title , so premiere thought it was one big title…>

The problem of 24 p in a pall project (where it was losing sometimes frames and sometimes put one frame twice) I didn’t solve.

    Thanks for helping.

Did nobody answer on this question? Because I have the same.
I recorded in 24p AGDVX100 and am editing in a standard premiere project (upper field) I thought this would be the problem… So how did you record it, or did you allready found the answer ? (I have to finish a film in two days… so I woul really like to know as well…)
