Please point me to the research that shows that you could send multiple I/O from a single sequence to Compressor in an earlier version. I see no evidence of the veracity of this.

You mean you want to send multiple slices of a sequence to Compressor all at once? There is no way to do this. Nor has this been possible in any version of FCP. You can only set one I/O in a sequence or clip at any one time. You can send items sequentially to Compressor, marking I/O sending, marking a new I/O and sending again. Or you can make multiple copies of the sequence and set different I/O in each and send them all to Compressor.

Yes, it works in the current version. Mark your In and Out points, make sure nothing is selected in the sequence, or select the sequence in the browser and export.

That’s an interesting question. How many here went through a Media 100 phase? I for one was using it from 3 or 3.5 until FCP appeared.

They need to have the current version of QuickTime to view this. Older versions may not have the ProRes playback component.
