How do you get it to go exactly 120 pixels per second in FCP?

This is a different application. Don’t try to make it work like Vegas or any other application. It doesn’t work like Vegas, very few applications do.

1. Not like Vegas. You have to turn on clip overlays and use the pen tool to add keyframes to opacity. Or apply a cross dissolve.

2. No velocity envelopes. Only constant speed change.

3. Not available in FCE. Something similar in FCP.

You can make favorites of motion, transitions and filters. It would be helpful if you could be more specific about what you’re trying to do.

You could try and animate the logo on another track to match the speed of the crawl. It would probably be pretty tedious to set up though.

You have the multiclip in the timeline. Set the viewer to playhead sync open. Switch back to the timeline. With the timeline (or the canvas) the active window. Do you not see the multilcip in the viewer in 4-up or whatever you’re set to? Play the timeline. What happens in the viewer?

The playhead sync popups are linked, change one the other changes. They need to be set to open and you need to be playing back the timeline not the viewer.

Make sure you’re playing the timeline with open ganging rather than the viewer.
