    As far as capturing you might be correct, then comes editing, for instance color correcting and slow motion = Render. I have a Matrox card, greatly helps with rendering

    I have used the Audio Technica 100 series. I use their tap that goes on a EV hand held and makes it wireless. This is a basic system and still cost me $800 +

    What I don’t understand you say its not for ESPN so it doesn’t have to be outstanding quality, why ? you have a great camera, audio is half of your picture , why not strive to get the best audio ? Look into renting some gear. Or maybe find a begging audio person that is just starting out and maybe give you some help and team up with you.

    Don’t know how things are in your state but here in Illinois, years ago I went down to the County Clerks office and filled out a form DBA ( doing business as ) they published the notice in the local paper for 5 days in the legal notices and then sent me some offical looking form to hang in the office
    Total cost = $5

    I don’t think any of us know , that is why we go to NAB, to get answers and see the gear in action. I have questions for the folks at Adobe, Matrox and Panasonic. Best of all I get to see fellow shooters and get direct feedback from them on how new gear is working. I always find NAB worth the trip.
