The first thing I would do is try a render with lower field first. Also try to opt for a font that isn’t too “thin and wirey,” or “blocky,” if possible.
OK! After a lot of searching, reinstalling, etc., I seem to have solved the problem. I know many people haven’t had a problem with Compressor, but if you have it really is frustrating. Anyway:
I’ve seen something cloes to that on some stock footage. It was black ink or somekind of fluid poured into water/or viscouse clear liquid. As the previous poster mentioned I would probably buy some cold pressed thick toothed paper and tape that while pouriing black colored water/oil over it. It would probably take a few times to get the right amount poured depending on the look you want. Then use it as a track matte. But, that’s me. I might even try it on a slow night.
If I have a lot of motion in something in AE I render it lower field first (in US). It looks bad if you play it with QT, but when you import it into FCP it with interpret lower field first and it will look good again.
For some reason it will bring a glow effect in as it’s own seperate layer, but it won’t do the same for stroke, or bevel for example. Put an empty layer underneath, select your layer with the effect and merge down.
