so when I do file: make movie: save to hard disk, a pop-up comes up that says that the format is “video for windows (*.avi)” the template is NTSC DV. Should I set the format to mpeg-2? There is also a small pull down menu to th side. The options are: cable, dsl, isdn, 56K, 28.8k, and 14.4k. What is this?

Okay, about the dual boot; if the pc comes with vista can I put xp on it (without installing that first).

I use vegas 7.0 plat. so I don’t know about 6.0, but there should be a tutorial you can open in the help menu. I know that that has a section about cropping video. Good luck.
