I’ve been trying to make some short movies and put them on Youtube, but my video’s keep exceeding the 100 mb size limit. I go through all the options when I render it, but I found nothing. It even says that the format is uncompressed. How can I reduce the size?

    thanks

What video format are you rendering to?
    What are your render settings?

so when I do file: make movie: save to hard disk, a pop-up comes up that says that the format is “video for windows (*.avi)” the template is NTSC DV. Should I set the format to mpeg-2? There is also a small pull down menu to th side. The options are: cable, dsl, isdn, 56K, 28.8k, and 14.4k. What is this?

When creating files for YouTube, render either a WMV (256 Kbps Video preset) or the iPod format [(MainConcept AVC/AAC(*.mp4)]. Use the 640×480 size if it’s available.
