Wow, that means the Trim Window is relatively useless editing anything with dialog. I guess I will stick to the timeline. Damn shame.

Thats what I thought. It only happens with the Red clips. Oh well, I will write up a bug report since no one seems to have any suggestions how to rectify this.

Thanks Alex.I am aware of that key.

My problem is I drop an 8 sec. Red clip on the Make Sequence button and it generates a sequences that is 10 HOURS long . Orphans dont exist. Just that 1 clip.It makes smooth scrolling in the Record window problematic.

BTW Im on 5.5

Peter my playback issue in the Program / Right monitor is resolved. I just took David C.’s advice and zoomed in on the timeline. Now when I scan it is very smooth. Also I checked out the CPU activity monitor and all 8 cores fire up nicely to 100% when I playback a Red sequence. At this point my system (Mac Pro 3,1) is functioning nicely. I hear that the near Mac Pros are the problematic ones.
