    Thanks Butch,

I know there are ways around it by exporting audio, clips as movies using the fill effect on audio, etc. My problem is I’m trying to avoid this because I feel it’s a waist. I edit in Premiere making a skeleton then importing my project into AE for final effects. AE won’t import the fill effect. Just thought there would be a simpler way of doing this.

    Thanks!

Actually, that’s what I’m doing and importing my premiere project into AE. Each clip gets the stereo mix effect on it but it doesn’t duplicate the audio. I’m still getting one channel.

    Thanks Dave,

I knew I could count on you for an answer. It is really sad that they do that. Let me ask you what is it specifically that they are doing that lowers the quality of the spot? Is it some sort of compression? I’m trying to really get a grasp on this so I can notify our clients when they ask why their spots look so much dirtier than the nationals.

    Thanks you!!!!

Thanks Richard…that’s what I suspected. I did create a black layer set to screen and applied Knoll to it. I’m hoping Photoshop take s a page form it’s sister program After Effects and starts making better composting adjustments with more control.

    Thanks!

Thanks for the answers guys. Yeah, it’s funny but 6 or 8 gigs use to seem like a lot. I’m getting a Mac in the next month or two…used but I believe the RAM can go up to 32 if I’m correct. Then I just need to invest in Adobe Production Studio for MAC!

I will turn multiprocessing off and read what Dave sent. For now I just have to get by with what I have!

    Thanks a ton!

Thanks for the info Dave. So I should be rendering to straight alpha for him then? I had wondered if there was a way to interpret the alpha in FCP like AE has. Then again When I import into Premiere I don’t believe there is a way either.

Thanks for the help. I’m purchasing an older Mac and also FCP within the month. I need to learn all this.

    Thank you,

I believe tat is exactly it! I did do the artwork in PS and brought it in to AI so I could use trace to get a vector image out of it. Again, I’m really kind of new to this…just had been flirting with it a bit. Trying to broaden myself from film!

Thanks for the help! I’m sure I will be asking many more questions!
