    Hi all,

Ok ,very new to FCP but I have an issue. I’m trying to batch render clips int XDCAM EX 1080p VBR, which is I believe the original format that the Sony XDCam shoots in. However once rendered, I check the file properties and it says mpeg 2. Why is this? I’m clueless as to why it wouldn’t be XDCAM EX 1080p VBR. Yes, I’m sure I might sound stupid but I’m not getting this.
    Need an answer ASAP.

    Thanks!

    Hi Todd,
XDCAM is MPEG-2 in different flavors.
    EX-HQ is 35Mbps420/VBR, Ex-SQ is plain HDV (25Mbps420/CVR) and HD-422 is 50Mbps422/CVR).
But all of them LGOPs MPEG-2.
