    That’s perfect – thanks!

Thanks for the reply – I’m gradually coming to the same conclusion!

Unless there is a way of ‘faking’ the effect using a looping animation to simulate the cards flipping through until they settle on an image, I think a 3D application (am thinking C4D) will be the way to go too.

Thanks for your input anyway! 🙂

Thanks very much Angelo – so there is no need to set the project up specifically at the start to accommodate the footage?

April 18, 2011 at 3:01 pm in reply to: Target camera – not centre of frame?

This is a tricky one to explain 🙂

I need the camera to target the null in the top right quarter of the screen – and for this null to remain in position with the camera also remaining in the position it is now .. if that makes any sense.

The spines attached to the camera indicate where graphic elements will go on screen (over the frame) – so the target point needs to be in the centre of the top right quarter of the frame.
I still need the full frame so the picture can sit beneath these elements as the animate on and off.

    Hope that makes some sense??

    Thanks for your time

    Tim

September 9, 2010 at 1:26 pm in reply to: After Effects Crashes on start

I’m having exactly the same problem (except not only After Effects but also Photoshop, Illustrator, mail, safari etc etc) – all straight after updating to the latest version of os x 10.6.4 – what a pain!

Anyone found a proper solution to this?!?!?!?!?

    Thanks everyone for the replies!

Unfortunately there’s no way round my long render 🙁 – but even as a pretty experienced After Effects user there were some tips in here that will help me in the future (especially shift + ram previews).

    Thanks again,

There is some animation – just not al ot – some of the photo’s scale and change position (the large comps are pages in a comic book style photo story) … other wise I would just use a still!

    Thanks,

Only say could as there really isn’t a lot going on in the big comps – no effects – just photos (at 100% of their original size so they shouldn’t be slowing it down too much).
Will give it a go later on – thanks for your input.
