  • It would appear that After Effects can’t find the nochmals_trans.mov
In After Effects you can right click on the missing footage (in the project pane) and select replace footage and find it on your system.

Once you find it, I would suggest doing a File>Collect Files so everything gets moved into a folder.

I’m not a final cut guy. If it supports alpha it should, but I do all my compositing in After Effects. If you’re on Mac and don’t have AE, you could use Motion.

Right, but if you take it into After Effects, the alpha should be present allowing you to drop a background in.

Did the vibrate tag work for you??

Render settings> Save > Alpha Channel

    Make sure it is checked.

    Should work in 10.5

Yes, but just like wiggle, you can animate it, so you could start it not changing the position and then animate the amount.

Except it’s easier to animate than wiggle…no expressions or sliders are necessary.

There is the vibrate tag. Under Cinema 4D Tags. Probably what you want, very similar to wiggle.

I rendered it off as QT with PhotoJpeg compression at 85%

I still saw the “stuttering” but it seemed like it was an optical illusion. If you watch the windows, they seem to move smoothly. Hmmmm.

    Sorry for the delay…

    If you:
1)create your clones with a cloner using the grid array
    2) put a rectangular spline around your map spline (bigger than map)
3)add the 2 splines to the spline mask and set it to B subtract A(assuming map on top, then rectangle below)
4)add the spline mask to an extrude
5)add the extrude and the cloner to a boole
6)make sure the cloner is on top, then the extrude and that the boole is set to A subtract B

Let me know if that works for you…

Have you tried the spline mask?
