I believe it also supports .aif with 11.22 and 44 kHz as well as 8-bit, 16-bit, mono and stereo sound.

Both wav and aif need to be uncompressed.

  • my pleasure…

  • adding it from the effects tab adds it to your overall render. If you don’t do this and just add it in multipass, you won’t have AO applied to your render.

adding it from the multipass tab separates out the AO as an individual render so you can use it for composting and have more control. That’s what multipass is for…separating out different things in your render for more control.

    Does that make sense??

If you are using the joint tool to do this, you can select your joints and on the Object tab, set the bone display to polygon.

Can you take screen shots of your render settings? There might be a clue somewhere…

This may sound like a stupid suggestion, and I apologize in advance if it does, but this happens to my students quite often. Since you know the name of the file it should be rendering, you can do a file search to look for it. Then at least you can see where it is going if not why.

The ends of the cylinder are actually caps, so they are separate from the tubular geometry.

When you create a new primitive cylinder, there is a caps option.

so using the point tool, it should be moving 1 or more points…the edge tool should move one or more edges, depending on what you have selected.

    Or am I misunderstanding?

Which version of C4D are you using and I’m assuming you mean that you, for example, just create a cube and then hit the C key to make it editable and it is in pieces?
