I’m guessing the original file is corrupt because I have it saved on other hard drives and I have copied it over to my project and none of them haven worked. I did try with a fresh transcode and that didn’t work either. Unfortunately the part where it cuts out is an interview that I need. It’s strange after the “CONSISTENCY CHECK” tab comes up, AVID shuts down and when I reopen it it was like the file was never even there.

Thank you so much for responding. I created a master HD project and another SD project. I linked my SD videos and transcoded them using 1:1 MXF. However, I am not sure how to “drag the bins over on the finder level” I tried to import the bins from the SD project but was told “The file format is not supported for import”

Have you seen this before?

JnkNTSC
etc……

This is where I often get confused, I’m not certain about the difference between these video resolutions.

The frame rate is 24fps and I do not know if it is anamorphic or not. How do I find that out? I do not want to make it HD, and I’m sorry but I don’t know what pillar box or pan and scan means.

This will not be going to DVD, I’m making a promotional video for a music festival and putting it on Youtube.

I actually started a new AVID (7) project after I transferred all my footage to a new hard drive. With the old project I had some footage that was imported and some linked which seemed to be giving me trouble. So I just imported 5 video clips that were shot on a JVC700 (1080p, 24fps) but once I bring them into the source monitor I only see a green screen. Is there a setting I have that is causing this? Or am I importing them incorrectly?

I am also having importing issues. I wonder if it is my hard drive. I just had AVID open and all my videos were in my bin and fine. I put one clip on the timeline then closed AVID and opened it again and all that media is now offline. This has been happening constantly the last few days. I don’t know what the problem is. Also, There are clips that when I import, there is only a green screen in the source monitor. Should I start the project over on a new hard drive?
