I pasted the whole image into Photoshop, then saved it and imported it back into Illustrator and it worked. Live tracing away….

So after I render it out with an alpha channel when I project it onto the wall, will it still have a black background?

Thanks. I got it to change in the Appearance window.
Not sure what the difference is in the color there and the regular color thing in the toolbar but if this happens to anyone else, check that tricky Appearance window.

Hi John – Thanks for answering. Yes I actually do have Encore. I’ve never used it. I’m still making changes on the video tonight and it is due to the gallery tomorrow so i will try making the Dvd with Encore – If you have any tips let me know!

It’s amazing how you can figure stuff out just by writing a big long question about it. I figured it out – the kid was 1 second and 1 frame instead of just one frame. phew – that only took HOURS to figure out!.

I just saw Ease and Wizz for the first time while i was searching through tutorials last night and am thinking of buying it. I am usually a cheapskate but if it makes this stuff easier and look good for $10, then maybe I should just get it. Thanks
