Is it possible to expand some text that was mapped onto a 3D extrude object – doesn’t seem to be…
Hi,
I’m creating a logo and mapped it onto a sphere using 3D extrude – It looks pretty good and I’d like to use that as the logo – but expand appearance only expands the sphere shape. Live trace is grayed out. Anyone know how i can do this – or is there another way to get text to look like it’s wrapping around a sphere using a different method? -

I pasted the whole image into Photoshop, then saved it and imported it back into Illustrator and it worked. Live tracing away….
