they have to be there. Go to windows>Tracker Controls
Other way right click on your video you want to track in the timeline and choose track motion, then they should appear.
In a few AE Versions isnt tracking available, but you habe a pro version and it has to be there, otherwise a technical error causes problems or installation gone wrong

March 28, 2008 at 6:43 pm in reply to: I want to zoom into my house – how do i do it?There is a pretty nice and helpfull tutorial from Andrew Kramer on videocopilot.net
Just visit http://www.videocopilot.net and go to the tutorial section.
Its tut NR.40 Earth Zoom -
Easy way: Click on the Frame Blending Checkbox wich is near the Motion Blur checkbox (In the timeline on the layer)(Dont see it? Press F4)
Another way: http://www.maltaannon.com (Go down to the last tutorial)

the only way i can think of are the material options.
Just twirl down the arrow from the layer that usually reveals the Transformation options. But beneath that there should be the Material OptionsPlay around with the settings for Specular Highlight and the other as well.
(The Material Options is only available for 3D Layers;
I think that you may need a light) -
hi there is a pretty nice tutorial for it!
check out aharon Rabinowitz tut : Text wipe on
Link: https://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/text_wipe_on.php
You just have to duplicate the text layer and animate a mask from left to right that reveals only 1-2 characters and then choose directional blur and play a bit with it (apply FX to the back layer)
Additionally you can apply the Ramp effect to the front layer and play a bit with the colors

it might be, that Motion Tracking is only available in the Pro version.
there you can find it by clicking up there on windows>Tracker ControlsDouble Click on the layer so that it is opened in the Layer Viewer. Then right-click on the timeline on the footage and choose Track Motion. (Some Tracking Features are only available after adding a new solid or a null object that can holds the data)

i tried a few effects and i found a way to do this. its not the best way and you cant even rotate the sphere after forming but it will do what you said.
Im talking of “Optical Compensation” , keyframe the field of view to get this effect. -
well
simple way: use change to color effect. that effects change a color: for example red becomes blue.
But the effect change a color “realistic”. in this case the color isnt quite real.other way(simple but a bit time consuming): Masking!
Just create a mask around that ball (mask on new adj. layer) and animate the mask so that it stays on the ball. dont be confused when the ball isnt visible. just mask it where u think it is.
after that create another mask to subtract the ball when its isnt visible. draw it around body of the guy in that parts where the ball overlaps. then change the mask to subtract.now apply a Hue/Saturation effect and check colorise and play with the settigns to get a color you like.
then u can add a glow effect curves, levels , or whatever u want to adjust the color even more. To get a nice outter glow copy the adj layer and apply fast blur to it and of course increase the value so u like it -
looks like a straight render
Just go to your render options and change the color menu to Premultiplied(matted). That should do it.
For mor informations check out Aharon Rabinowitz´s tutorial called: “Understanding Straight vs. Premultiplied” here on creativecow.net

well,
copy the layer and do the trackmatte for every single layer
or just change the blending mode to stencil luma ( or one of the others, stencil) . This makes the layer a super trackmatte
